Ted S. Sorenson, P.E.
OWNER, SENIOR ENGINEERTed is the co-founder and principal of Sorenson Engineering. Ted graduated from the University of Idaho with a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering in 1976. He founded Sorenson Engineering in 1980 and has focused primarily on hydro since 1984. He has nearly 40 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, permitting, constructing, financing, owning and operating hydroelectric facilities and is widely regarded as an expert in his field.

Gayle Sorenson, JD/CPA
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICERGayle is a co-founder of Sorenson Engineering. She graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting in 1975 and a JD in 1978. After working as a partner at a regional Idaho law firm for many years, she transitioned to full-time focus on Sorenson Engineering. She specializes in asset management, finance, tax structuring, and transaction implementation.

Michael D. Jardine, P.E.
PROJECT ENGINEERMichael has been on the team since 2008 as a Project Engineer responsible for various aspects of permitting, design, and construction of numerous hydroelectric and waterworks projects. Michael graduated in 2007 from Utah State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and an emphasis in hydraulics. Michael has enjoyed his time in the field providing project oversight, quality control, and quality assurance, while learning from experts in the construction and engineering fields. He values the success that is achieved through collaborative teamwork.

Rose Sorenson, P.E.
PROJECT ENGINEERRose has a degree from Colorado State University in Civil Engineering and worked for several government agencies and a large multi-national engineering firm before joining Sorenson Engineering. She has professional experience working with dams and in the hydroelectric industry. She is skilled in data analysis, construction, project management, and engineering modeling.

Teddy Sorenson, P.E.
PROJECT ENGINEERTeddy has nearly 15 years of experience in the hydroelectric industry, specializing in project management, site engineering, data analysis, state and federal agency coordination, financial analysis, design optimization, and asset management. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho and is licensed as a Professional Engineer in several states.

Miriah Elliott, J.D.
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OPERATIONSAfter graduating from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah in 2010, Miriah was a partner at a regional Utah law firm, specializing in contract drafting, business formation, estate planning, and various business transactions. At Sorenson Engineering, Miriah has used this experience to facilitate the operations of Sorenson Engineering as a hydroelectric developer and owner, and as a consultant to third-party owners and developers. She is also proud to advocate for hydroelectricity as a stable, clean, renewable resource.

Dana Peck
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR, ACCOUNTING ASSISTANTDana has been an integral part of the Sorenson Engineering team since 2011. She oversees many of the daily operations of Sorenson Engineering, including accounts payable, payroll, account maintenance, and a variety of office operations.
